Maggie Thompson is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina but now calls Nashville, Tennessee home. Thompson has been in Nashville honing her craft, performing and writing songs. Maggie works with vocal coach to the stars, Renee Grant-Williams, who has worked with artist such as Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and countless more. She is learning guitar and piano from master musicians she has met and has had the honor to write and play with and call them friends. Maggie has had the honor to write with several hit songwriters and is currently working on new music. In March of 2017 she was selected to perform at the Bluebird Cafe, one of the world’s preeminent listening rooms and has since played several times and is scheduled approximately every four months. Thompson has performed on many stages to include Belcourt Taps, the World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge, Douglas Corner, The Local Nashville, Alley Taps, and Tin Roof on Demonbreun. Maggie had the honor to play the 2019 Key West Songwriters Festival. She enjoyed playing Island Dogs through out the week and Mary Ellen’s Bar and Kitchen. Thompson was privileged to be invited to attend the 2018 Frank Brown’s International Songwriters Festival and enjoyed performing at the Legendary Flora-Bama Lounge and Lucy Buffett’s Lulu’s at Gulf Shore’s. Maggie has opened for Broken Bow Records artist, Adam Craig. Thompson has received many awards and recognitions for her talents which include the Song of the Summer 2017 LOZ Radio, Young Artist of the Year on LOZ Radio. She is nominated for Young Female Vocalist of the Year 2019 at The KICMA Awards to be held this Fall in Nashville, Tennessee.
